Recipe You Should Definitely Try:

Banana Sheera (Banana Sooji Halwa)


Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

  • Ripe bananas – 2 (mashed)

  • Sooji (semolina) – ½ cup

  • Ghee – 2 tbsp

  • Sugar – ⅓ cup (adjust to taste)

  • Milk – 1 cup

  • Water – ½ cup

  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

  • Cashews & raisins – 1 tbsp each (roasted in ghee)


Method:

1. Roast Sooji:
Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add sooji and roast on medium flame until golden and aromatic. Set aside.

2. Heat Milk & Water:
In another pan, bring milk and water to a light boil.

3. Cook the Sheera:
Add the roasted sooji to the hot liquid, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

4. Add Banana & Sweeten:
Once the mixture thickens, add mashed bananas and sugar. Mix well and cook for 3–4 minutes.

5. Flavor & Garnish:
Add cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits. Stir and cook for 1–2 more minutes.

Serve:

Serve hot as a dessert or festive sweet. Can also be packed in a lunchbox or offered as prasad.
