How to Make Mint Lemonade – Nimbu Pudina Sharbat**

 

Ingredients (serves 2):

 

  • Fresh mint leaves (pudina) – ½ cup (loosely packed)

  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp (about 1 large lemon)

  • Sugar – 2 to 3 tbsp (adjust to taste)

  • Black salt – ¼ tsp

  • Cumin powder (roasted) – ½ tsp

  • Cold water – 1½ to 2 cups

  • Ice cubes – as needed

  • Soda water – optional (for fizz)

 

 Method:

 

  • Make the mint syrup:
    In a blender, combine:

    • Mint leaves

    • Sugar

    • Lemon juice

    • A little cold water (2–3 tbsp)

    • Blend into a smooth paste.

  • Strain (optional):
    Strain the syrup using a fine sieve if you want a clear drink.

  • Mix the drink:
    In a jug or glass, mix the mint syrup with cold water or soda.
    Add black salt and cumin powder. Stir well.

  • Add ice and garnish with a mint sprig or lemon slice.

 

 Serve Chilled With:

 

  • Chaat

  • Pakoras

  • Summer thali

  • Or just sip it solo as a thirst-quencher!
