Lychee Rose Falooda (Chilled Summer Dessert)
Serves 2–3Ingredients:
Fresh lychees – 10–12 (peeled, deseeded, and chopped)
Rose syrup – 3 tbsp
Sabja seeds (basil seeds) – 1 tbsp (soaked in water for 20 mins)
Falooda sev or vermicelli – ½ cup (boiled and cooled)
Chilled milk – 1½ cups
Sugar – 1 tbsp (optional, if using unsweetened milk)
Vanilla or rose ice cream – 2 scoops (optional)
Chopped nuts – 1 tbsp (optional, for garnish)
Method:
Prepare the Base:
Soak sabja seeds in water until they swell. Boil falooda sev or vermicelli, rinse in cold water, and drain.Layer the Glasses:
In a tall glass, add 1 tbsp rose syrup, a spoonful of soaked sabja seeds, followed by cooked sev.Add Lychee & Milk:
Add chopped lychee pieces. Pour in chilled milk slowly. Stir lightly.Top It Off:
Add a scoop of ice cream if desired. Garnish with nuts or a few more lychee pieces.Serve:
