How to make Amla Murabba – sweet and tangy preserved Indian gooseberries
 
Ingredients:
Amla (Indian Gooseberry) – 500g (from Bhole Fruits and Vegetable for ₹94)
Sugar, cardamom, saffron (optional), clove, water, lemon juice

Method:
Wash and prick amlas all over with a fork.
Boil them in water for 5–6 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
Make a sugar syrup by boiling sugar with water until slightly thick.
Add boiled amlas, cloves, and saffron (if using). Simmer for 10–12 minutes.
Cool and add lemon juice and cardamom powder.
Store in a clean, dry glass jar. Let it rest for a day to absorb flavor.
 
Pairs With: Eaten as a digestive or immune-boosting sweet. Also good with paratha or as a dessert accompaniment.
