How to make Lovia Beans Sabzi – healthy, spiced Indian broad beans
Ingredients:
Broad Beans (Lovia Beans) – 500g (from Bhole Fruits and Vegetable for ₹37),
mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida (hing), chopped onion, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, oil, chopped tomato (optional)
Method:
Wash and trim broad beans, then chop into small pieces.
Heat oil, add mustard and cumin seeds.
Add a pinch of hing and sauté chopped onions until golden.
Add turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, and salt.
Toss in the chopped lovia beans.
Cover and cook on medium flame till soft, stirring occasionally.
Optionally, add tomato and cook until mashed.
