We all know India is the land of agriculture. Dairy is one the important components of agriculture. When we talk about the market size of Dairy industry in India, National Dairy Development Board's (NDDB) chairman Meenesh Shah said that the Indian dairy market stood at Rs 13 lakh crore in 2021 and it is expected to reach Rs 30 lakh crore by 2027 fueled by increase in production and market share of value added products.

According to the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MFPI) of India Uttar Pradesh is the highest milk producing state in India contributing around 18% to the total milk production, followed by Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Punjab contributing 11%, 10%, 8% and 7% respectively.
