Mango Pickle - 200 gm - One jar of pickle

This is a mango pickle (aam ka achar, called aam'r achar in Assamese) made the Assamese way with locally grown ingredients. Along with raw mango, the recipe uses lalbang (red chilli), jalpai (Indian olive) and jolokia chilli, giving a balance of sour, spicy and tangy flavours. In Assam and across India, pickle is a staple on the plate. Serve a little alongside dal and rice, khichdi, paratha, roti and curd rice, or with snacks such as pitha and poha. A spoonful also livens up a simple lunchbox. The pickle is made by Janani Asomi Mahila Farmers Producer Company Limited, a producer company of women farmers in Assam, so each jar supports rural women. Always use a dry spoon and keep the jar closed in a cool, dry place to keep the pickle fresh. Available in a 200 g jar.
