FarmLokal is a grocery marketplace for Indian households. Connect your Shopify store and your products appear on FarmLokal, with orders coming back into your Shopify admin ready to ship.

What it costs
10% commission on orders placed through FarmLokal
That is the only charge. There is no fee to install, no fee to list your products, no monthly subscription, and no fee to be visible on the platform.
Commission is calculated on the product value of each order, after any discount applied at checkout and before taxes and delivery charges.
Delivery charges are passed to you in full. We take no commission on delivery.

What this rate covers
This rate applies to the FarmLokal Sales Channel for Shopify, where you create and maintain your own catalogue and ship orders with your own courier.
If you would like FarmLokal to handle catalogue setup, storage, packing or delivery for you, those are separate arrangements on different terms. Email info@farmlokal.com and we will talk it through.
How you get paid
The customer pays FarmLokal at checkout. We settle with you seven days after delivery, straight to your registered bank account.
An order delivered on 1 October is paid on 8 October. We settle from the delivery date rather than the order date, so returns are accounted for before you are paid.
Every statement shows your product value, delivery charges collected for you, our commission, and any returns or refunds. Statements are available in the app under Orders and payouts.
How it works
- Install. Add the FarmLokal Sales Channel from the Shopify App Store. It takes a minute, from inside your Shopify admin.
- Connect and verify. Link your FarmLokal seller account and verify your mobile number. Add your FSSAI licence, business details and bank details.
- We verify your business. We check every brand before listing. This usually takes two working days.
- Your catalogue syncs. Products, images, prices and stock sync automatically from Shopify. Edit in Shopify and it updates on FarmLokal. You can withdraw any product at any time.
- Orders come to you. When a customer buys, we create the order in your Shopify admin, marked as paid, with the delivery address. You ship it with your own courier.
- We settle with you. Seven days after delivery, to your registered bank account.
Who can sell with us
- Your business is registered in India and your store sells in INR
- You sell food or grocery products
- You have a valid FSSAI licence
- You can ship within India using your own courier
We cannot list: alcohol, tobacco, products requiring a prescription, live animals, non-food items, and anything that is not legal to sell in India.
Common questions
Do I need to manage separate inventory?
No. Stock syncs from Shopify. When you sell elsewhere, your FarmLokal stock updates automatically.
Who ships the order?
You do, with your own courier. We pass you the delivery address and you fulfil it exactly as you would any other order.
How do I know which orders came from FarmLokal?
Every order we create is tagged with FarmLokal as the source, so you can see it in your order list and in your Shopify analytics under sales by channel.
Can FarmLokal see my other customers?
No. We can only see orders placed through FarmLokal. Your existing customers, and orders from your online store or other sales channels, are not visible to the app. We do not receive customer email addresses and we do not create customer records in your store.
Can I choose which products sell on FarmLokal?
Yes. Every product has a FarmLokal availability toggle in Shopify, the same as your online store. You can do this in bulk from your Products list.
What if I want to stop?
Uninstall the app. Your products stop selling on FarmLokal straight away. Orders already placed are fulfilled and settled normally. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
