Dry Petha (Kewra Flavour) - Satvik SHG - 400 g
Seller:
Satvik SHG₹90
Petha is a traditional North Indian sweet made from ash gourd, known as safed petha or kumhda. The pieces are cooked in sugar syrup until translucent and then dried, giving a soft centre and a light sugary coating. Dry petha is especially associated with Agra, where it has been a well known sweet for generations. This dry petha is flavoured with a mild touch of kewra (screwpine), which gives a gentle floral aroma when you open the pack. For a fresher taste, let the petha air out for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Petha is served as a sweet after meals, offered to guests with tea, packed in festive gift boxes and used as prasad. Small pieces can also be chopped into kheer, shrikhand or fruit custard. This dry petha is made by Satvik SHG, a self-help group. Available in a 400 g pack.
