Tricolour Dry Petha (Independence Day Special) - Satvik SHG - 400 g
Seller:
Satvik SHG₹95
This tricolour dry petha is an Independence Day special from Satvik SHG. Petha is a traditional North Indian sweet made from ash gourd, the pale vegetable called petha or safed kaddu in Hindi and white pumpkin or winter melon in English. Pieces of ash gourd are cooked in sugar syrup until translucent, then dried with a light sugar coating to make dry petha, which is soft and chewy inside. For this edition the petha comes in the three colours of the national flag, which makes it a cheerful sweet for flag hoisting at school, office and housing society celebrations, for sharing with neighbours, and for gifting on Independence Day and Republic Day. The seller describes it as pure veg. The petha is made by Satvik SHG, a self-help group. Keep it in an airtight box after opening. Available in a 400 g pack.
